It is looking great
The school traffic passes by here several times a day and it is so nice to get encouraging words from strangers. People really do notice!! Enjoy
Master bath shower
Kitchen before staining. I didn't know this could be done. Doors come off and the rest is stained in place.

winding down
It is hard to believe that six weeks have past since I last posted on the blog. Maybe no one is following any more. But it is good for me to bring it up to date. Mike came out in Dec. following the end of his semester. We worked hard to get the rest of the family photo's and important documents gathered and put in his dad's apartment. We had a great time together and it was so good to see him. This has been a lot of time apart (recently 5 weeks). I went home for Christmas and Jessica and Jared had decorated the house and got the meals and food ready. Jessica was so helpful and unselfish. We really did very little for the kids for Christmas but we had a wonderful reunion and felt a very strong spirit in the home. It was one of those special Christmas eve's and days never to be forgotten. Jessica dropped me off at the airport on her way to school so the timing to return to CA worked out great. I cam back and most of the painting inside was done.
The cabinets have been my challenge. I happen to get in the middle of the cabinet makers personal challenges so everything was down hill. The Lord has blessed me with solutions to the problem they just take time and of course money. But all in all I fell very blessed. I was living with a woman from the ward that I have known for 30 years but I moved back into the house after returning from a wonderful week with Tiffany, Nate and my wonderful grandchildren. Here are some updated picture of the house. I have quite a few so it may take quite a bit of space. OK I had to add this one of my trip to AZ. They are so cute and wonderful.

Things are coming together
This past two weeks I have seen two bathrooms get tiled, The outside painting finished, Some inside painting done, Front door on, back door on, all interior doors and trim. I have been very blessed to have only a few things go wrong like the patch stucco looks terrible (there was lots of patching and wall fixing to be done) I followed Elder Uchtdorf's talk and slowed down stepped back and am taking a deep breath put a halt on painting and am hoping the drywall expert that is coming tomorrow can fix the problem. Many things can still be done outside of painting so we will take our time to get it right.
Saturday I woke up early and got many important decisions made like all the finishing plumbing, Back yard clean up arrangements made, Finalization on bathroom vanities with my cabinet maker and an idea of what to do for lighting. I felt blessed to have a productive day!! The Lord has helped me so much and I seriously could not do this without his help. I could not do it with out Mike either. He has been my cheerleader and sounding board and true support. I am so excited to see him this Thursday. The days and weeks are boring and lonely without him by my side. I am going home for Christmas and that sounds so nice!! I look forward to some down time and I will let Liz my realtor step in for a while and watch the project. Enjoy the pictures as you see the house come to life!!
